WOW what a band!! So glad I decided to go along on a Tuesday night. Well worth the lack of sleep for work today. One of the loudest bands I've ever heard, and Dave sounds amazing live!! Just before Foo Fighters came out I decided to join my friends in section 136, but got bumped about a minute into Everlong. I got so lucky and within a minute I found a spot in the handicap section at top of section 101. The sound was epic and I had a very cool crowd in front of me, aisle behind me. A few close clappers here and there, but otherwise zero distractions. I did no editing other than normalize to 95% and tracking. Crank it up!!

Note: During band introductions, the audience and the band sang happy birthday to Chris Shiflett's son, Liam, and Taylor Hawkins led a round of "Day O."

Dave Grohl - vocals, guitar
Taylor Hawkins - drums, vocals
Nate Mendel - bass
Chris Shiflett - guitar, vocals
Pat Smear - guitar
Rami Jaffee - keyboards

Perry Farrell
Gary Clark Jr.
Chris Chaney

This was an awesome show, and as it always is with the Foo Fighters, very high energy even with Dave sitting down
the whole show due to his broken leg. It was a last minute decision to drive the two and a half hours to this show,
and I was able to snag a lawn ticket pretty cheap. I slowly moved forward a little during the show, eventually making
my way toward the front of the lawn. Unfortunately during Breakout a drunk lady danced her way into me, knocking me
into the guy next to me, who took that to mean MOSH PIT. I suddenly found myself in the middle of an impromptu mosh
pit and my mics came unplugged, and my Zoom recorder hit the ground. It took me a few minutes to pick myself and
my gear up off the ground and resume recording. Other than that, it's a decent capture of an awesome show. No eq done,
just a little volume boost.

HavenÕt really been listening to Foo Fighters since the first two records in the 90Õs
but thought IÕd go and see this show - their biggest in Sweden yet! (55,000 people!)

Little did we all know we were gonna witness something VERY spectacular that either the
band or us in the crowd will ever forget!

You could tell Dave was VERY excited to do this show, in front of 55,000 people in little
Sweden (CÕmon - itÕs not New York with 8 zillion residents!). A lot of screaming and a
lot of moving around and headbanging in the first song. After singing the first verse of
ÓMonkey WrenchÓ Dave decided to move to the front of the stage, stage right, but tripped
and fell like 10 feet down in front of the fence. Actually it looked like he hit the
fence and bounced to the ground. I didnÕt see what happened myself since I was taking a
few photos, but found out afterwards that I actually took a photo just as Dave hit the

Show stopped and there was a lot of confusionÉ Dave than told the audience that he thought
his leg was broken and that they would come back. He didnÕt say when. After a few minutes
the rest of the band came out and said theyÕd do a few cover songs and not just leave.
After two songs it seemed Dave would come back, and he did - on a stretcher and then he
was put on a chair, having a Swedish doctor holding his foot since he wasnÕt allowed to
move it. They sat like that for a couple of songs, then the cast arrived from the hospital
and Dave disappeared again for a while to have the cast put on his leg.

After that he sat on the chair for the rest of the show, without a doctor (except for the
two acoustic songs performed at the very front of the extended catwalk) when he was standing
with help of crutches.

Dave sang ÓThese daysÓ with different lyrics (about his broken leg) which was fun and the
show lasted for just over 2 hours and 40 minutes :)
